Statement

Through my art, I invite the viewer to experience the transcendence of overlooked details in places and objects of everyday life.
Everything around us generates an absolute imprint, beyond the boundaries of space and time. I capture these impressions by refining forms and geometry of my composition, and playing with sharp light, shadows, and reflections. My sceneries are deserted and motionless, clear of any unnecessary detail, immersed in rarefied silence and suspension. In these dystopian landscapes there are usually no human figures and - when there are - they are disconnected from the viewer to enhance the sensation of distance and separation.
The introduction of unexpected perspectives and viewpoints adds a new frame of reference to the images, inviting the viewers to reassess their perceptions and engage in a voyage of discovery, where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur, and the essence of objects is revealed in its purest form.

Biography

Born and raised in Italy, Marco Bendin studied and worked there as an engineer until he moved to the United States in the middle of his career.
As an engineer, Marco was trained to see the world in a rational and analytical way. But passion for art and his cross-cultural experience allowed him to tap into a more intuitive, emotional side of himself, unlocking a new level of creativity and self-expression. So, Marco felt the urge to document and share this voyage of discovery by painting images of a world where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur and the essence of objects is revealed in its purest form.
